Common questions
Do I need to credit lostpage?
No. A link back is always appreciated, but it's never required, and nothing is shown on your page.
I'm a freelancer or agency. Can I use it for every client?
Yes. Use it in as many client projects as you want. Your clients may keep using it after handover, under the same terms.
Can I use it in a product I sell?
Yes, if lostpage is part of your app or website (for example the 404 page of your SaaS). Selling the 404 designs themselves, as a template or kit, is not allowed.
Can I build my own scene with the lostpage API?
Yes. Scenes you write yourself are yours, and you can use them however you like.
Is it open source?
No. lostpage is a free developer resource: the package is free to install and use, but the source is not published under an open-source license. The terms that apply are in the LICENSE file inside the package.
Will the terms change?
Each version is covered by the license it shipped with. A future change never takes away what you were allowed to do with a version you installed.
Need something else?
For permission beyond these terms (for example including lostpage in a product you sell to other developers), email satendermaurya12@gmail.com.
This page summarises the license in plain English. If anything here differs from the LICENSE file in the package, the file is what counts. Back to the guide →
